Please note that, this is no more the issue of not-paying me at all-- He cleverly cleared recently the amount which is stated on my LCA H1. What he is actually withholding, is the difference of this and the actual salary (percentage) that was agreed upon, at that time.
Then I am afraid you have no case. If the vendor has paid your employer and he is not paying you after you told them you are quitting then it is unethical, but legal, sometimes I wonder how do they even feed their family and clothe them with all this ill gotten money.

Checking out this section of the bill :
(2) PENDING AND APPROVED PETITIONS AND APPLICATIONS.�Petitions
for an employment-based visa filed for classification under
section 203(b)(1), (2), or (3) of the Immigration and Nationality

section) that were filed prior to the date of the introduction of

It says something about preserving priority date. Is there any provision to port the priority date from old system to new system. I am sure there would some sort of concept for priority date in the new system.

When AP is approved, you get 3 copies. I went twice on intl trips and each time they took a copy. I am left with 1 copy of the AP.
Now I need to go on one last intl trip (I have applied for renewal). I just have one copy of AP with me.
How does it work? Will the officer just stamp the AP and make a copy?

Here is my situation:
My PD is Sept 2006, EB3 ROW and I have submitted I-485 for my son on July 2. Now I am aware that come October, PD will retrogress and mine may not be current for another 3 or 4 years. My son is now 20 and will become 21 in July of 2008.
My question is this:
If my PD does not become current until after my son turns 21, will his 485 be approved? Or since his 485 is already submitted before his 21st birthday he will eventually get his GC no matter whenever my PD becomes current?
I have been trying to find answers to these questions and will appreciate your input. Thank you.

So how about a fax campaign in favor.
That should not be too distracting from rally preparations.

You should avoid phrases such as "fast track green card". That is being presumptious.
Last year when people were campaigning for the rally, some of the campaign slogans were "come to the rally and get gc now instead of 10 years later". That is pushing people's hopes up without reason.
The problem with such promises and anticlimaxes is, you will not be able to sustain their interest.

Don't get discouraged, Lee. Sensor dust is part of the game, and we all have to deal with it.
If you haven't read about it yet, the generally accepted way to "see" the dust is to take a shot of a non-textured light object (I use the ceiling, or a clear sky). Put it in manual, set to a low iso, stop the aperture down to f/16 or even more, adjust ss for proper exposure (may be several seconds, but no problem if you are shooting a texture-less target.) Then you can zoom way in on the image and scout around to see the crud. This is a good way to check after you clean to see if you really got it all.
When cleaning, always try the least intrusive method first. I try the blower several times first. If there is still stuff left, I go in with the arctic butterfly. If there is still junk in the same spot after several passes, it is likely stuck there and I go after it with the lens pen. If it is not in the same spot, it is not stuck, so I keep after it with the brush followed by the blower.

My lawyer received our AP's yesterday. They sent me a photocopy. Even though the TSC IO said that my application was approved on 10/17/2007, the travel document has a date of 10/11/2007. Good luck to you.

I am in the same boat as you. I applied for both EAD & AP last year to Texas Service Center. I have gotten my EAD but not AP. The following is my online status for AP:
Application Type: I131, APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT
Current Status: Approval notice sent.
On August 13, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I131 APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.
I called many times and was able to open up a service request. They sent me a letter saying the same thing that I can see online. Everyone told me to re-apply or send I-824 (Application for action on approved petition with the fees $340, costs more than the AP application itself).
Could you please post the address where you have mailed. I would like to try the same to see if my luck changes any.

Now the biggest hurdle of Apr 30, 2001 is crossed. I am sure that not many people has filed between Sep 2001 and February 2002. Also if you look into PD for China and Phillipines, the dates moved very fast after June 2001. Lot of people applied in late 2002 and early 2003. My guess would be that it will take about 3 to 4 years to clear all the backlogs of 2003. For 2004 it may be over 5 years.

To the best of my knowledge, people like us who are waiting for Green Card are NOT eligible for any sort of unemployment benefits.
Correct me if i were wrong.
Note: Even if one earns 40 credits of work @ 1 credit per quarter which is 3months & if that person is not either Perm Resident or citizen, THEN no way one can claim for any unemployment benefits.
Because i crossed that 40 credits already and still my SS benefits statement cleary says that i'm not eligible due to the fact that i'm NOT a perm resident a.k.a Green Card Holder
Does anyone knows if Person eligible for AC21 porting is eligible for unemployment benefit?

Neither me nor my wife had US degree. Both went to Canada for stamping. myself in Ottawa and my wife in Toronto with in a gap of five months and had no problems what so ever. 7 of my friends also went to Canada for stamping but no issues with them also.
