It is not possible for any jobs on commission basis. PERIOD.
You can work on OPT.

Thanks for the advice. The problem is that my employer is really small and it will cost him money to do it all and if it doesn't work out he will have to eat up the cost. Here in New York it will be very expensive to advertise for the job and the chance of getting qualified replies are really high and of course this economy makes it even worse. Maybe I'm just a pesimist but I seriously have doubts it will work out.

Hi,

Entered US on H4 in 2005, then got H1 approved in 2006. But was never on project with H1, hence no pay stubs. Currently H1 has expired and planning to go India for H4 stamping. Will there be any problems regarding the H1 period where there were no Paystubs?

Most of these case I have heard have got H4 visa without any issues. You will do OK. Go for stamping.

It appears there was a problem with the website status update. Today my attorney received a letter that my MTR has been approved. I guess my I-485 is back on track now.

Congrats - there was no need to go through this. Unfortunately the system has been this way and in some way or the other most of us get into these situations.

My priority date (July 06 ) and EB3-ROW . I got couple of LUD ( 4 after June 30, 2009) recently on my I-485 application. In fact I got a LUD today also. I am wondering whether you also got any LUD recently.

But I think it's thanks to CBN who pulled the consulate to Hyd when they were debating to have the consulate in Hyd or Bangalore. From what I know YSR govt just boomed up the realty prices but nothing else, though realty went up in other parts of the country too.
PS: I'm not very sure but just expressed my thoughts as we are talking about consulate/Hyd/how proud we should be etc in this thread.For those who know better or disagree with me please feel free to do so by posting in the thread but not by giving red/accompanying mssgs. These days I'm so cautious that unless absolutely sure I don't take any chances with posting on threads so as to avoid upsetting people even remotely. Visit visa is only for the max. 6 months. No guarenty they will give that. I know many people got 1-3 months only. My mother used to come here for 6 months and go back to India for 1 months and again come back and stay 6 months. The 3rd time at the JFK, they told her this is your last entry in visit visa and give her 3 months. They told her if you come next time, she will send back as blacklisted. Because she abused the visit visa and stayed most of the time here in US for the couple of years. My sister is a US citizen by then and she filed AOS and I-130 for her and my mother got her GC in 6 months. My friend bring his father here and his father was hospitalized due to a heart attack. He got a bill for 90K. Now he is paying it by installments, because be sponser him. He is liable to pay it. He hired a lawyer, but finally he agreed to pay. So don't bring any one here without taking medical insurance. Parents are not come into H4 catagory.
From IRS point of view, parents are considered dependents if you are taking care of them at home. You could bring them on visitor VISA mentioning that they will be here for medical treatment. You may have to show proof of Insurance etc ... in the affidavit of support. Medical exprenses are costly here. That is the only problem.

Bad..In that case, how can you be sure that they have filed your I140? Not sure if USCIS can provide receipt number based on your name and DOB but you may try calling them.
The Problem is my employer is not sharing this information with me.I want to make decision of moving the employer only if i know that my 140 is approved. My fear is that my employer may tell me that 140 is still pending even if it is approved.

stock trading for yourself on your personal account is no issues... if you setup a corp and do it through that corp, then you need a secondary H1 B...
