I applied for my EAD in the last week of Nov 10. I got mine in the first week of Jan 11.
For the question of 'if she can leave while USCIS is processing her AP', I am not sure...
My PD is Jul 31, 2006 and I am going to add my wife to the application on June 1st. She is on H-4 right now.
How long does it take to get the AP and EAD? Can she leave the country without the AP.

You need experience letter from employer A. Explain to employer A that you are attempting a switch to EB2 for your own career and if it does not work out, you will stick with theim. Telling lies is not a good idea.

Thanks for the response. I have the receipt notice & approval notice for my 485 and 140 respectively. I am planning on interlinking our applications on my own, without the use of an attorney. I did however speak to a previous attorney of mine, and his recommendation was to wait until my spouse received his 485 receipt notice, and then send a letter to USCIS with a copy of both our receipt notices & marriage certificate asking them to merge both applications, with him being the primary applicant, and me being the derivative applicant.
However, since my spouse is concurrently filing his 140 & 485, I wasn't sure if his 140 needs to be approved before we interlink the applications. The attorney said that as long as he had his 485 receipt notice, the applications could be interlinked, but I wanted to be sure how his I-140 would tie into all of this. Any thoughts?

I would like to renew my EAD/AP which has expired in Oct'08.
My lawyer is charging huge fees and it is turning out to be very expensive to renew EAD and AP for all my family members.
Have anyone renewed EAD and AP after such a long gap of expiry? Will e-filing
help or paper filing is efficient? Any experiences from forum members regarding
this will be appreciated.

My PD is Dec 2005 (EB2) and I'm on EAD. I dont know when I'll get the GC but hoping that I'll get it in the next year. I already got an RFE so I'm not expecting another one. The question is, if I get laid off now, can I buy a business (say a convenience store or a subway) and run it (while on EAD)? and would it cause any problems now or in the future when applying for citizenship? I know you have to work in same or similar industry, but my industry is hard hit with recession and I don't think I can find a similar job. So how will they enforce this? Or do they even care?

I got an approval in March 2007 and status still says 'the notice that USCIS sent was returned as undeliverable". As I guess approval notice was sent to my employer's old address and so returned. My employer got address changed and sent request to Nebraska Service Centere to resent the documents, but documents not received yet. Still waiting.

You should act fast and call NSC ASAP to see why the notice was not resent. I hope this situation doesn't affect our I-485s sent on 2nd July when the I-140 was pending. (It was approved on 7/18)

TIme to make this site a paid site with tightly controlled information access and forum features available only to the members.
What is the purpose of increasing the membership is a majority are non contributing members. Doesnt money buys us much more then the membership numbers? Making this site a paid site will drive away most members but the remaining will provide a continuous revenue stream.

As a result, it has been necessary to hold most of the Employment cut-off dates for November. At this time, it is not possible to provide any estimates regarding future cut-off date movements.
:) Even if USCIS says that they cant predict future cut-off dates, its not going to slow down the prediction-pundits on IV. Soon we'll have a thread out for December Visa Bulletin prediction!!
